CANNABINOID HEMP: TRUISTA’S REGENERATIVE MODEL FOR COFFEE IN ZIMBABWE
Zimbabwe’s considered the bread basket of Africa, and the country’s coffee industry once stood among the world’s finest. In 1989, it peaked at over 32 million pounds, celebrated for a flavor profile as distinct and complex as the land itself. But the promise unraveled. Hyperinflation, drought, and a devastating land reform program virtually wiped out the sector. By 2010, only two large-scale producers remained, and national output had plummeted to just 458,000 pounds.
AT TRUISTA, WE BELIEVE IN SECOND CHANCES
That’s why we’ve established strategic partnerships in Zimbabwe, not only to support coffee’s revival, but to develop proprietary cannabinoid hemp genetics as an ideal companion crop. Grown side-by-side, these plants offer complementary agronomic benefits, economic resilience, and a new chapter for farmers who deserve more than survival, they deserve prosperity.
We’re excited about the prospect of cultivating a future rooted in regeneration, science, and soil-level integrity.
