Chemical Free Decaf
Our decaf method uses a pure water process, thereby eliminating all chemicals that are commonly used in decaf processing.

Decaf Bold Awakening delivers a surprisingly full‑throttle cup without the caffeine. Brewed black, it’s dense and resonant, and it stands its ground even when you add cream. This coffee is a favorite base for custom coffee drinks and coffee cocktails, offering the intensity of a traditional bold roast with none of the jitters. The flavor journey opens with deep dark‑chocolate richness, expands into a gentle peppery warmth, and finishes with earthy, grounding undertones. It’s a decaf built for people who want the experience of a strong coffee, without the compromise.

Much like fine wine, the flavors mentioned for each coffee are nuances that come naturally within the roasted bean itself. Truista coffees don’t have any added flavors.

COFFEES OF THE PACIFIC

Roast-Driven coffees are bold and heavy with a play to dark spice. These coffees wear their roast proudly, often with dark chocolate or a molasses-like sweetness and a malty, weighty finish. Coffees of Indonesia contribute to the bittersweet notes of spice and chocolate.

BREW GUIDE

FAVORITE BREWER FOR THIS COFFEE: FRENCH PRESS

AS ESPRESSO: Not designed for straight espresso shots, and we don’t recommend it as a solo pull, yet this blend shines when paired with milk. Its spicy, dark‑chocolate pungency delivers a bold first impression, cutting through milk with surprisingly well... and it’s decaf.

As the milk softens the edges, the cup opens into a rich, resonant finish with lingering spice.

AS COLD BREW: This blend is not recommended for cold brew unless you are creating something to be used with cream or milk.

BEYOND THE CUP: With its spicy, cocoa‑driven depth and clean, bittersweet resonance, Decaf Bold Awakening brings surprising muscle to cocktails and dessert applications. Its caffeine‑free profile doesn’t dull its presence, instead, it offers pure flavor intensity that plays beautifully with dark spirits, baking spices, and rich chocolate.

Its structured, aromatic character makes it a natural fit for reductions, syrups, and infusions where you need concentration without caffeine. Whether you’re building a night‑cap cocktail, a silky dessert sauce, or a bold coffee syrup, this decaf delivers pungency, polish, and purpose.

BEAN BASICS FOR BOLD AWAKENING

Bold Awakening Decaf is roasted and blended with intention.
To enjoy it at its best, keep these tips in mind:

DEGASSING (RELEASE OF CO2): You can brew this 3-4 days after roast day. Much of the CO2 is released during roasting, and the best flavors shine closer to roast date.

STORAGE: Air and light ruin freshness. Use a vacuum-sealed container or tightly roll the bag. Store in a cool, dark place.

REFRIGERATOR: Not Recommended. Beans absorb odors and moisture, dulling flavor.

FREEZER: Not recommended. Freezers can separate oils in body-heavy coffees, thinning the mouthfeel.
